Deb Sailsbery is an independent educational consultant and mentor, facilitating strategy planning and school turnarounds. She formerly held this position with the University of Pittsburgh Educational Leadership Initiative and Quaker Valley School District in Pennsylvania.
She served as a teacher for several school districts as well as principal of Hartwood Elementary School in Hartwood, Va., a National Blue Ribbon School.
Her community involvement includes speaking on behalf of education and coaching Odyssey of the Mind Academic teams that competed in the world finals. In Allegheny County, Pa., Deb served on Fox Chapel Area School District’s Gifted Student Identification Committee and Professional Education Committee.
She earned an Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Deb also holds both a B.A. in Music Education and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of Louisville, and an Elementary Principal Certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
